Miño is a municipality that has a very varied offer of celebrations due to its culture and its tradition.
One of the best ways to know the customs of a place is by means of the participation in its festivals. Some of them are:

Festival in honour of St. Sebastián: It’s celebrated in the parish of Santa María de Castro on the 16th, 17th and 18th of January.

Carnival: It’s celebrated in Miño and the parishes.


Festival of Callobre: It’s celebrated in the parish of Callobre on the 5th of March.

Festival of Corpus in Perbes: It’s celebrated in the parish of Perbes on the 14th, 15th and 16th of May.

Festival of Corpus in Bemantes: It’s celebrated on the day of Corpus in Bemantes.

The bonfires of St. Juan: It’s celebrated the night from the 23rd to the 24th of June in the entire municipality.

Festival in honour of St. Juan: It’s celebrated in the parish of Callobre on the 19th of June.

Festival in honour of St. Juan: It’s celebrated in the parish of San Juan de Vilanova on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of June

Festival in honour of St. Pedro: It takes place between the last week of June and the first week of July in Miño, in which traditional and sports activities are carried out, emphasizing concerts and festivals.

Sambollo Folk festival: It’s celebrated in the parish of San Juan de Vilanova on the 2nd of July.


Día del Carmen: It’s celebrated in Miño on the 16th of July.
Festival in honour of Nuestra Señora del Carmen: It’s celebrated in the parish of Callobre on the 18th, 19th and 20th of July.


Festival in honour of Santiago Apóstol: It’s celebrated in the parish of Ponte do Porco on the 24th and 25th of July.

Miño Rock festival: It’s celebrated in Miño on the 14th of August.


Pilgrimage of San Payo: It’s celebrated in the parish of Bañobre on the 24th of August.

Pilgrimage of San Ramón: It’s celebrated in Sombreu on the 31st of August.


On the other hand, it is also remarkable in Miño the celebration of fairs like:


Feirón: It is celebrated every Sunday where there can be acquired horticultural products, clothes, shoes, crafts, etc


Fair of the onion: It takes place the weekend in the middle of August. There exalts this so typical product of our municipality.
