This route begins in Baxoi Harbour, which was built on order of Fernán Pérez de Andrade in the 14th century and today it forms part of the inheritance of the English Route towards Compostela. It is a place where the traveller has a space to rest.
From there and turning away the general highway, we go to Bañobre where we find a varied architectural wealth represented by the Country House of Bañobre, which is one of the most beautiful of all those that exist in the municipality. It dates from the half of the 16th century and belongs to the Varela de Castro family. The baroque shield of weapon, which dates back of the 17th century, finds next to the balcony and in it there are represented eight cartels of important lineages of the zone. The Country house of San Paio, of the Counts of Vigo is a place of much history. Today it works as college and keeps in its interior a collection of portraits that are oil paintings. In the same estate of the Country house there is a chapel linked to the parish of Saint Maria de Castro. The chapel is of Romanesque style and around it there is a grove that provides a recomforting shade.
Continuing our route up to parish of Leiro, we come to Saint Salvador Church, whose outward differs from any other temple of the zone.
If we turn aside towards the place of Trasdoroña, we will find a typical Galician construction called alpendre, which is divided in two spaces: stable and shed.
Finally, in the parish of Carantoña, we emphasize San Julián Church, of baroque style, and Saint Nicolás Chapel.
When the dusk comes, there exist other recreational, cultural and tourist attractions: theatre, music, dance and cinema, which favour the day finishes with golden clasp.
